Our Work
My work is inspired by the awe and wonder of nature, the arts, people and our heritage.
Capturing and telling your unique story, I write and illustrate fun friendly stories for books, theatrical productions, story walking trails, guides, paper maps, products, learning resources and GIS map linked trails.
My work seeks to inspire across the generations in unique and entertaining ways to promote learning, cultivate reflection and motivate the creation of a better world.
What we do
Through developing compelling and meaningful stories and hand illustrated artwork: we convey your important message, help people to understand who you are and what you are doing. We raise awareness of what you are wanting to achieve and communicate, and create important memories through the art of storytelling and artwork.
Our stories & products engage people in learning about something you are passionate about whether this is a place, cause, a campaign, a cultural theme, our heritage or natural landscape but often it is a combination of all, or some of these.
We can design a fully connected package that links people to your project including; story, theatre production, story exhibitions, learning resources, maps, story walking trails, books and related products to take home.
We are experts in consultation and engagement that is why all of our work involves detailed research through workshops and one to one consultation with local people, specialist knowledge holders, schools and local interested groups.

Canal River Trust
Finsley Gate Wharf
Story & School Resources
I wrote an interactive fictional story and created activities and resources for the CRT's new visitor attraction to breath life into Finsley Gate Wharf. Creating colourful characters, scripts, storyline and activities to entertain and engage young visitors in learning about and experiencing the Wharf.
Children play the role of canal boat children arriving at the boatyard looking for help to repair their boat, they embark on an adventurous story around the wharf meeting different characters from the past that once lived and worked there, whilst taking part in activities along the way to help get their boat up and running once more.
Yorkshire Dales National Park
Walking into the Night
Stargazing Story Map
Celebrating the Dark Skies status of this national park, I created a hand illustrated story map capturing a fictional story of three night time creatures crossing the moor at night. On their journey they are taken up into the night sky where they meet a range of constellations and begin a magical star-filled adventure. Along their way they hear about the mythical stories of the stars and discover their own special talent in great bear's cave. The story map is sold as a package including map and other products in Yorkshire National Park shops & tourist information centres.

Woodland Trust
Skipton Castle Woods Story Book
'The Spirit of Skipton Castle Woods'
I was commissioned to write a children's story book for Skipton Castle Woods to communicate the values and work that the Trust do and encouraging children to take responsibility of our native woodlands.
Creating a fictional medieval story, a group of modern day children travel through the wood and learn that the spirit of the wood is dying as a wicked tree witch is cutting down trees and plants to make magic potions. The children go on an epic journey meeting medieval characters along the way that help them to save the woodland from devastation.
This book was made into a large waterproof installation attached to an oversized story chair for people to read when visiting the woods. The book was published and is sold in local outlets including tourist information and Skipton Castle.
Keighley Healthy Living & Cliffe Castle Park
Clifford & the Giant Egg Story Trail
To communicate the importance of the Clifford's, the local industrial history and the wildlife of the park, I created a bespoke fictional fact based story trail and map aimed at families visiting the museum and park.
In this funny story, Mr Clifford brings back a giant egg from a far off land to his stately home in Keighley. The resident mouse seeking fun and adventure steals the egg, taking it into the park where it hatches into a dragon, the two go on a mythical adventure around the park, discovering confidence, history and a lot of nature.
